MANIKGANJ, Dec 18, 2024 (BSS) - The International Migrants Day and National 
Expatriates Day was observed in the district today with a call to build a 
beautiful Bangladesh by ensuring the rights of migrants.

Marking the day, a colourful rally was brought out from the Collectorate 
Building premises and ended at the same venue after parading main streets of 
the district town. 

After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy 
Commissioner (DC) while DC Dr. Manowar Hossein addressed the event as the 
chief guest. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Md. Atiqul Mamun, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi 
Officer (UN0) Sheikh Mejbah Ul Saberin, Freedom Fighter Abul Hossain, 
Journalist Jahangir Alam Biswas, National Polytechnic Institute Director Dr 
Faruque Hossain, District Technical Training Center (TTC) Principal Fatema 
Nargis, Sonali Bank Officer Josim Uddin and Dewan Technical School and 
College Director Dewan Tanjil Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion.
