NILPHAMARI, Dec 18, 2024 (BSS) - Top three remittance warriors of the district were awarded today on the occasion of 'International Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day'.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Nairuzzaman handed over the honorary award at the DC's conference room on Wednesday afternoon.

The family members accepted the award on behalf of the remittance warriors.

The awardees are - Malaysian expatriates Ershad Ali and Nazmul Huda and Singaporean expatriate Atiqur Rahman Mintu.

Earlier, marking the day a rally was organized by the district administration which paraded the main roads of the town. Later, a discussion was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Faruk Al Masud presided over the meeting. Additional Deputy Commissioner Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Nilphamari Government Technical Training Center Principal Ata Hiya Bin Khuda, Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mizanur Rahman, District BNP President Akham Alamgir Sarkar, among others, spoke.
