CHATTOGRAM, Dec 19, 2024 (BSS) – A court here today placed Saju Boiddya on a 5-day remand in a case filed in connection with violence between supporters of Chinmoy Krisna Das Brohmmachari and police at the Chattagram court building premises on November 26 last. 

5th Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Ishrat Zahan granted 5-days remand of the accused for interrogation after investigation officer of the case produced him before the court with a 7-day remand prayer, Md Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury, Assistant Public Prosecutor of the court confirmed.

Unruly protesters locked into violent clash with law enforcers centering arrest and bail rejection of expelled ISKON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Bhrommachari at Chattogram court building premise on November 26 last. 

 At one stage of clash with law enforcers, a gang of the miscreants equipped with lethal weapons attacked and killed brutally Advocate Saiful Islam Alif , a promising lawyer and member of Supreme Court Bar Association at outskirt of Ctg court building on November 26 last. 

Police earlier arrested Chinmoy Krishna Das Bhrommachari in a sedition case.
