JHENAIDAH, Dec 20, 2024 (BSS)- A woman was killed in a road accident in Malliknagar area on the Kaliganj-Jashore highway of Kaliganj upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Mowshumi Khatun, 35, wife of Ibrahim Mia of Pukuriya village under Kaliganj upazila.

The accident occurred when a passenger bus hit an easy bike (locally-made vehicle) in the area leaving the easy bike rider Mowshumi dead on the spot and its driver Firoz Hossain wounded.

Police confirmed the incident and said they are trying to seize the bus and arrest its driver and helper.

The body has been sent to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.
