BAGERHAT, Dec 20, 2024 (BSS) - A truck driver was killed in a road accident in Godaown Amtola area on the Bagerhat-Pirojpur regional highway in Sadar upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Shamim Sarder, 45, son of Rustam Sarder of CRC area in Morelganj upazila of the district.

The accident occurred when two trucks collided head-on in the area leaving one truck driver Shamim dead on the spot and another injured.

Critically injured truck driver was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

The body was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for postmortem.

Police seized the vehicles from the spot.
