GAZIPUR, Dec 21, 2024 (BSS) - Two motorbike riders were killed in a road accident in Kawran Bazar area on the Mauna-Kaliakoir regional road in Sripur upazila of the district today.

Among the deceased, one was Shafiqul Islam, 45, son of Golap Hossain, of Kangsha village in Jhinaigati upazila of Sherpur District. The identity of another victim could not be known immediately, police said.

The accident occurred when their motorbike hit the truck while overtaking, leaving the two bike riders dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur for postmortem, police added.
