RANGPUR, Dec 22, 2024 (BSS) - Leaders and activists of the Rangpur
Metropolitan Jubo Dal have vowed to work to build a new Bangladesh as per the
instructions of BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in the future.
They made the commitment in a post welcome procession rally organised by
Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo Dal at the Town Hall Sahitya Mancha on Sunday
afternoon marking approval of its full convening committee.
The welcome procession left the BNP office at the Grand Hotel Intersection in
the city and ended at the Town Hall Sahitya Mancha after circling the
important streets of the city.
Presided over by Metropolitan Jubo Dal convener Nurunnabi Chowdhury Milon,
its senior joint convener Zahir Alam Nayan and member secretary Atikul Islam
Lelin, among others, addressed the rally.
The speakers said that the leaders and activists of the Rangpur Metropolitan
Jubo Dal had successfully organised resistance on the streets in the recent
movement against fascism and dictatorship.
The party's high command has evaluated the leaders who sacrificed themselves
taking high risks on the streets.
The activities of the Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo Dal will be accelerated by
quickly forming its 33 wards and police station committees to thwart all
conspiracies against the country in the coming days, they said.
Leaders and activists of the Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo Dal from 33 wards of
Rangpur city were present at the event.
