BOGURA, Dec 22, 2024 (BSS) - Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of 'Amra BNP
Paribar' and member of BNP Media Cell, has said BNP acting Chairman Tarique
Rahman works for the welfare of the country and the people.
"Tarique Rahman always enquires about people of the country even staying far
away. He always instructs party leaders and workers to stand by the helpless
and oppressed people," he said while speaking as the chief guest a winter-
clothe distribution ceremony at Padmapara Madrasa ground in Gabtoli upazila
in the district today.
Rumon said Tarique Rahman announced that if BNP goes to power, various
institutions and roads and highways will be named after the martyrs killed in
July movement.
Tarique Rahman pledged for providing at least one government and private job
to each of the martyrs killed and injured in the mass movement, he said.
At his directives, BNP leaders and workers have always been staying beside
the people, he said.
Winter clothes were distributed among 1,000 people under initiative of
Bogura-based pro-BNP agriculturalists' association Bangladesh Crop Protection
Association.
Organization's Secretary General agriculturist Mehedi Hasan Pathan chaired
the event while former mayor and Bogura district BNP leader Saiful Islam, RDA
Director Abdul Majid, former bank officer Mahbubur Rahman, Gabtoli
