RANGPUR, Dec 26, 2024 (BSS) - The joint forces arrested Abdullah Al Mahmud Milon, former chairman of Pirgachha Upazila Parishad and general secretary of the Pirgachha Upazila Awami League (AL) in the small hours of today. 

"The joint forces arrested Milon from his sister's house near his residence in Anontaram Barobari area of the upazila town at around 1:00 am," Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pirgachha police station Nure Alam Siddiqui told BSS this noon.

Milon is the son of late Shahidul Islam of the Anontaram Barobari area in the upazila of the district. 

"Preparations are underway to hand arrested Milon over to the court today as an unidentified accused in a case of mayhem that took place in the Annnodanagar union parishad area of the same upazila," the OC added.
