DINAJPUR, Dec 26, 2024 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested an Awami League 
(AL) leader from Nimnagar Fhulbari area of the district town this noon in a 
case filed for attacking the anti-discrimination student agitation in the 
town.
 
The arrested was AHM Shamin Alam Sarker Babu, 55, president of the district 
town AL.
 
Shamim was produced before the court around 2.30 pm. In the court, his bail 
petition has been rejected. Subsequently, he was sent to jail, Court 
Inspector M Mahamudul Alam said.
