MADARIPUR, Dec 26, 2024 (BSS) - A madrasha teacher was killed in a road accident near the Natun Bus Stand area under the Sadar upazila of the district today.

Deceased Hafez Nurullah Sardar was a teacher of Tartilul Quran Hifaz Madrasha and son of Anowar Sardar of the Chathreeshira area of Agoiljhara upazila of Barishal district.

The accident occurred when a motorbike collided head-on with a locally made vehicle 'easybike' in the aforesaid area, leaving Nurullah injured critically.

Locals rescued him and sent him to Madaripur 250-bed Government Hospital, where an on-duty doctor declared him dead.
