CHATTOGRAM, Dec 31, 2024 (BSS) - A man was killed and another injured in a road accident on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway at Lohagara upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Sahinul Islam Shoayeb, 24, son of Nazim Uddin, a resident of Uttar Adhunagar of the upazila.

The accident took place in front of Lohagara Modern Community Centre around 2 pm after a truck hit a motorcycle, leaving its pillion Shoayeb dead on the spot and the motorcyclist injured.

The injured was sent to a local hospital.

Officer-in-charge of Dohazari Highway police station Shuvo Ranjon confirmed the matter.
