3 held with 1,788 Tapentadol tablets in Parbatipur

RANGPUR, Feb 7, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug traffickers with 1,788 pieces of illegal narcotics Tapentadol tablets from Parbatipur Rail Gate area under Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district on Thursday.

The arrested were identified as Md Siddiqul Islam alias Siddik, 26, of Dhulapara village in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur district, Md Sakibur Rahman alias Shakib, 21, and Md Mokhchedul Islam alias Mokhched, 26, both from Shwaskandar Taltalapara village in Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari district.

"On a tip-off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-1 of the RAB-13 from its Dinajpur Camp searched a motorcycle there and arrested them with the contraband Tapentadol tablets from the spot at 6:15," a press release said here today.
 
"The elite force handed over the arrested persons to Parbatipur Police Station in Dinajpur district for further legal action," the release added.
