PANCHAGARH, Feb, 10, 2025 (BSS) - The two-day 46th science fair, 9th science Olympiad, and 9th science quiz competition began here today, marking the National Science and Technology Week.
With the theme, "Gayan Biggayane Korbo Joy, Shera Hobo Bishwamoy (We Will Win in Knowledge and Science, We Will Be the Best in the World), the event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Sabet Ali at the Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Parishad Hall this morning.
District Administration has organised the fair under the supervision of the National Science and Technology Museum and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Presided over by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zakir Hossain, a discussion was held in the afternoon.
Apart from Deputy Commissioner Sabet Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station S. M. Masud Parvez, and Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Fazle Rabbi spoke at the meeting.
Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of using innovative knowledge and information technology to foster scientific development. They urged students to create technologies that serve the welfare of the country and its environment.
After the discussion, the guests visited stalls set up for the National Science and Technology Week, as well as exhibitions showcasing student innovations.
Over 50 students from 20 educational institutions took part in the event.
