Call for taking eco-friendly projects in real estate sector 

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - A four-day housing fair began here today, underscoring the need for taking sustainable and environment-friendly projects.

The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) organized the fair with the slogan "Dream Housing-Green Country, Red and Green Bangladesh" at a city hotel.

Leading real estate companies, financial organizations, building material suppliers, and other related organizations are participating in the fair by setting up 42 stalls to display their products and services.
 
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahdat Hossain inaugurated the fair as the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police Amirul Islam attended the function as special guest.
 
REHAB vice president and co-chairman of the Chattogram Regional Committee, Haji Delwar Hossain, presided over the function. REHAB's senior vice president, Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, and vice president, Wahiduzzaman, also spoke at the function attended by REHAB board directors, members, and representatives of the different organizations.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain called upon the entrepreneurs and businessmen in the real estate sector to extend their cooperation in turning the port city into a green and clean one by undertaking sustainable and environment-friendly projects.

He also laid emphasis on adhering to compliance and rules set by the Chattogram Development Authority, besides following the existing building code properly while designing and implementing their schemes.

Participating real estate and other companies are offering special discounts and gifts for the buyers on the occasion of the fair, while visitors were offered attractive prizes every day through a lottery, organizers said.
