RAJSHAHI, Feb 15, 2025 (BSS) -The holy Shab-e-Barat, the most auspicious night for Muslims to get forgiveness of Allah as well as fortune, hopes and aspirations, was observed with due religious fervour and solemnity here last night.
 
Muslims offered "Nafl" prayers at mosques and homes and recited from the holy Quran in observance of the night.
 
They sought blessings of the Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, families, relatives and friends. 

The devotees also offered prayers seeking forgiveness of Allah, eternal peace of the departed parents, deceased family members and near and dear ones. 
 
Many mosques especially the Hazrat Shah Makhdum Dargah Mosque, Saheb Bazar Boro Mosque, Hatem Khan Mosque and other religious places of worships arranged milad mehfils, "zikr-ajkars" and distributed ‘tobaraks’.
 
Special discussions were held in the mosques after the Asr and Esha prayers, where the Imams delivered speeches narrating the spiritual significance of the sacred night. 
 
A large number of devotees stayed for the whole night in the mosques, offered special prayers and sought forgiveness and eternal peace for all. 
 
Special prayers were also offered seeking divine blessings and kindness for the overall welfare, successes and good luck of the humanity, country and its people and the Muslim Ummah.
