FENI, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS)- Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a fatal road accident in Hafezia area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway of the district this evening.

The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound covered van hit a pickup van in the area leaving five pickup van passengers dead on the spot and 10 others injured.

The identity of the victims could not be known immediately, Mohipal Highway Police officer-in-charge Harunur Rashid said.

Seven injured persons were sent to Feni General Hospital and three others sent to Dhaka and Chattogram for treatment.
