Tribute paid to language martyrs in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day was observed in Thakurgaon today in a befitting manner.

Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana first paid tribute on behalf of the district administration at the Shaheed Minar, located at Thakurgaon Government College, at 12:01 am.
“Following this, Superintendent of Police Sheikh Zahidul Islam laid a wreath on behalf of the police administration, while General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin also paid homage to the language heroes on behalf of the district BNP.

Later, people from all walks of life, including officials and employees of various government and non-government departments of the district, including the District Muktijoddha Sangsad, Thakurgaon Press Club, BNP, and others, paid their tribute to the language martyrs.

Various government and non-government organizations, political, cultural, and social organizations, including the district administration, have taken up day-long programs to celebrate the day.
