NARAIL, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - Three-day Shilpakala Academy Utshab-2025 began at Narail Zila Shilpakala Academy here today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (education & ICT) Md Ahsan Mahmud Russel addressed the inaugural function as the chief guest with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director (Fine Arts) Mustafa Zaman in the chair. 

Khulna University Fine Arts Department former teacher Professor Bimanesh Biswas, district cultural officer Abdul Rakibil Bari, Sultan Smriti Sanggrahashala Curator Tandra Mukharjee, artists - Boldeb Adhikari, Nikhil Chandra Das, Mahbub Jamal Shamim, Sadi Taief, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Samir Majumder and Sourav Banerjee, among others, were present at the function.

Earlier, they paid glowing tribute by placing a wreath on the grave of eminent artist SM Sultan. 

A workshop will be held tomorrow while puppet show apart from workshop will be held on February 28.

Besides, a seminar on the life and works of SM Sultan will be held at the evening on February 28.
