MEHERPUR, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed in a clash between two groups over a trifling matter at Ramnagar village under Gangni upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Hridoy Hossain, 24, son of Shahadat Ali, a resident of Chargoal village of the upazila.

The clash erupted at noon between the two groups when they sat to resolve their previous conflict. Both the groups locked into an altercation during the time and at one stage of the altercation some people hit Hridoy.

Critically injured Hridoy was sent to a private hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Gangni Police Station Bani Israel confirmed the matter.
