RAJSHAHI, Feb 27, 2025 (BSS) - Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) is intended to further expedite service delivery activities of help desks for welfare of women, children, old and people with special needs.
RMP took the decision in a workshop on the issue held at its headquartered conference hall with Commissioner Muhammad Abu Sufiyan in the chair.
On behalf of its Victim Support Centre, RMP organized the workshop discussing and devising ways and means on how to bring more dynamism into the help desk services.
Apart from the RMP high officials, officers and force engaged in the women and children help desks, representatives of the government and non-government officials concerned and officer-in-charges of 12 police stations joined the workshop.
Commissioner Abu Sufiyan urged the officials concerned to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to attain trust and confidence of the service-recipients.
He also underlined the need for close-coordination between the works of government and non-government organizations so that the target group of people can derive total benefits of the help desks. Special care and attention should be given to the victims who need the one-stop crisis centre (OCC).
Besides, the people with special needs should be brought under need-based services, he added.
