CHUADANGA, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - The district livestock office today started the sale of beef, chicken and eggs at affordable prices on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to provide the protein items to the general people.

Deputy Commissioner Zahirul Islam inaugurated the programme at Court crossing area at 11 am today.

Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Maula, District Livestock Officer Shahabuddin Ahmed, Deputy Director of Artificial Insemination Dr. Shamimuzzaman, Sadar Upazila Animal Resources Officer Mostafizur Rahman and others were present at the time.

The district livestock officer said that from today all these products will be sold at affordable prices from 10 am to 2 pm every working day. Four pieces of eggs are being sold at Taka 37, golden hen at Taka 250 per kg and beef at Taka 700 per kg.

This program will continue till 22nd of Ramadan.
