GAIBANDHA, March 03, 2025 (BSS) - An unidentified woman was crushed to death under a moving train at Sarkepara area adjacent to Gaibandha Rail Station in the town this evening.

The identity of the woman could not be known immediately.

Abdul Goni, Sub Inspector of the Balashighat Railway Police Outpost, confirmed that the woman was struck by the Dhaka-bound Rangpur Express train.

Upon receiving information, the railway police from the outpost rushed to the scene and recovered the body, said Abdul Goni.

He added that the deceased's body was sent to the district government hospital in Gaibandha for autopsy.
