KHULNA, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC), Md Firoz Sarkar today visited the kitchen market, adjacent to Khulna New Market in the city.

As a part of the KCC's market monitoring programme, the administrator conducted the drive to keep stable of the prices of essential commodities.

During the visit, KCC administrator monitored prices of the goods and discussed with businessmen about essential commodities supply in the kitchen market.

Besides, he asked the local officials of the Directorate of National Consumers Rights Preservation to continue proper supply of edible oil in the markets.

"Some traders want to become rich overnight. They should conduct business with utmost honesty during the holy Ramadan," he added.

The administrator said local administration and KCC are in a strict position to bring stability in the market. KCC will continue monitoring the kitchen markets.

KCC's Bazar Super Sheikh Shafiqul Hasan, Estate Officer Gazi Salah Uddin, leaders of Kitchen markets conducting committee and journalist, participated at the monitoring programme.
