MEHERPUR, Mar 4, 2025 (BSS) – The Consumer Rights Protection Department today fined TK 50,000 an LPG business house for running illegal gas supply in Terail Bazar of Gangni upazila of Meherpur district.

A mobile court conducted a raid on Messrs Paras Enterprise and fined its proprietor Jahangir Alam for running illegal gas business this afternoon.

Mohammad Mamunul Hasan, Assistant Director of the Consumer Rights Protection Department, Meherpur district led the drive which was carried out on the basis of the secret information. 

 District Agricultural Marketing Officer, Md. Tariqul Islam, District Safe Food Officer Md. Riaz Mahmud and members of the police were also present during the drive.
