KHULNA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna City Corporation (KCC) conducted an eviction drive on Thursday morning to remove illegal encroachments from different roads in the city.

A KCC team led by Executive Magistrate Jannatul Afroz Swarna conducted the operation at Rupsha, Khanjahan Ali Road, Moylapota and Nirala in the city.

During the eviction drive, Mohammad Mostafa was fined Tk 1,000 for illegally selling meat by occupying the footpath at Rupsha intersection.

Similarly, fruit seller Md. Sohag was fined Tk 5,000 at Moylapota Mor, and the fines were collected on the spot. 

In addition, unauthorized structures were removed from the roads and footpaths.

KCC Estate Officer Gazi Salauddin and members of the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) participated in the operation.
