SUNAMGANJ, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - Around 3.83 lakh children aged between six months and 59 months will be fed vitamin 'A' Plus capsule under the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign on March 15.

"A total of 3,83,630 babies aged between 6 to 59 months will be administered vitamin-A Plus capsule," Civil Surgeon Dr Jashim Uddin told a press conference today.

He said that 3,83,630 children will be fed Vitamin 'A' plus capsules at 2,178 centers in 12 upazilas and four municipalities of the district. Of these, 42,588 children aged between 6 and 11 months will be fed yellow-colored Vitamin 'A' plus capsules and 3,41,042 children aged between 12 and 59 months will be fed red-colored Vitamin 'A' plus capsules.

The campaign will be held on March 15 between 8am and 4pm, he added.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Sukhdeb Saha, Dirai upazila health and family planning officer Dr Sangkar Chandra Das and Sadar upazila health and family planning officer Dr Jashobanta Bhattacharya, among others, were present at the press conference.
