NAOGAON, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - A bike rider was killed and another injured as a pickup van hit their bike at Patnitola upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Abdur Karim, 30, son of Emadul Islam, a resident of Raghunathpur village of the upazila.

The accident took place around 11 am at Kallakati intersection of Najipur municipality when a pickup van hit the motorcycle from behind, leaving its two riders injured, said Enayetur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge Patnitala Police Station.

The injured were taken to the upazila health complex, where Abdur Karim succumbed to his injuries.

Later, injured Palash was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
