BHOLA, March 11, 2025 (BSS) - An imam was electrocuted at Hanif Maulana Bari Jame Mosque of Char Gazi village under Borhanuddin upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Belal Uddin, 30, a teacher of the local Al Iqma Noorani and Hafezia Madrasa and son of Md. Shahe Alam, a resident of the village.

Belal came in contact with an electric wire when he was spraying water on the wall of the newly constructed building around 8 am, said Siddiqur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Borhanuddin Police Station. 

He died on the spot.
