JHENAIDAH, March 16, 2025 (BSS) - Jhenaidah District Police returned 84 snatched and stolen mobile phone sets to owners at a function at the office of Superintendent of Police here.
The Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of the District Detective Police has recovered lost and stolen mobile phones from various criminals across different areas and returned those to their rightful owners.
“Apart from this, the special team of the district police has also recovered Tk 64,000 lost to fraud and returned it to the rightful owner,” said Additional Superintendent of Police Imran Zakaria while handing over the recovered mobile phones at a ceremony held at the Superintendent of Police's office this morning.
Police conducted special raids in different districts following complaints and general diary about snatched and stolen mobile phone sets and recovered those, he said.
Sub Inspector (SI) Khalid Hasan and Assistant SI Ikhlachur Rahman Mithu of the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell were present at the ceremony.
ASI of the Crime Investigation Cell Ikhlachur Rahman Mithu said that the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell is working relentlessly to provide service and security to citizens through information technology.
Superintendent of Police Manzoor Morshed said, “Our campaign to curb cyber crimes will continue. Our main goal is to ensure the safety of people.”
