RANGPUR, March 21, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central assistant secretary general and Rangpur-Dinajpur regional director Maulana Abdul Halim has said all political parties should unite by forgetting differences to build a happy and prosperous country.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil discussion organized by Rangpur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami at the Zilla Parishad Community Center in honor of political leaders, journalists and prominent people this afternoon.
He said that the welfare of the individual, society and the state lies in following the provisions of the Al-Quran.
“Due to the lack of moral education based on the Holy Quran, various anarchy including murder and rape are prevailing in the society today. It is possible to fulfil this expectation of the people through fasting,” he said.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, “If we can build ourselves with the lessons of the month of Ramadan, it is possible to build a happy and prosperous country. For this, all political parties inspired by patriotism must forget all differences and unite.”
Jamaat-e-Islami's central Majlish Shura member and Rangpur metropolitan Ameer vice-principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan presided over the event.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur regional team member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal addressed the occasion as special guest.
At that time, Jamaat-e-Islami's Rangpur metropolitan assistant secretaries Raihan Siraji and Al-Amin Hasan, metropolitan workers welfare federation president Advocate Kawsar Ali, working committee member Maulana Shahjahan Siraj, Kotwali Thana Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Golam Kibria, among others, were present.
