BANDARBAN, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - Over 4,500 families of Bandarban 
municipality of the district have received rice under Vulnerable Group 
Feeding (VGF) programme ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr this morning.

Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ara Rini inaugurated the rice distribution 
programme as the chief guest at a function held at Bandarban City Model 
Government Primary School premises.

Under the programme, each of the families will receive 10 kilograms of rice.

Municipality Administrator SM Manjurul Haque, Executive Magistrate Nabab Ali, 
Municipality Administrative Officer Priyatosh Chowdhury, Bandarban City Model 
Government Primary School Headmaster Md. Sohel Azad and Press Club President 
Aminul Islam Bachchu were present, among others.

The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief allocated 46.210 tonnes of 
rice, ensuring that each of the 4,621 families would receive 10-kg of rice.
