RAJSHAHI, March 29, 2025 (BSS) - Tight security measures adopted here and its adjacent area centering the Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of the Muslims, to make the celebration a total success.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has set up some Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at different strategic points to monitor the security measures arranged for city dwellers.
 
According to the sources of RMP and district Police, the additional security measures will exist from the previous day of Eid and till next three days.

Muhammad Abu Sufiyan, Commissioner of RMP, told BSS that all the police stations and camps have already given instructions to ensure extra security measures in all the celebration points including the Eid congregations.

Besides deployment of additional forces, detective vigilance was intensified at all the busiest market points and shopping malls.

All the entry points of the city like Katakhali, Nawdapara and Kasia-danga area were brought under tight security measures with strong vigilance and monitoring.

 Necessary instruction was also given to search the suspicious persons at any point during the celebration period.

RMP Chief Abu Sufiyan said, "We will watch the movement of people of the residential hotels".

On the other hand, RAB-5 has taken all-out security measures to make the festival a total success.

Meanwhile, Shahm-ukhdum Central Eid Jamaat Committee and the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and all others concerned have chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival for the Muslims, in the city with due fervor, joy and enthusiasm.

 
They have completed all kinds of preparations in the city under the auspices of Rajshahi district administration, Metropolitan Police, and other religious organizations for peaceful celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr with due solemnity and feelings.

RCC has completed preparations to hold a total of 85 Eid congregations at different venues in the city and its 30 wards under the supervision of the respective officials concerned.

Various other voluntary organizations completed more than 60 congregations' structures on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr traditional and temporary to make the city's Eid congregations successful, RCC is facilitating necessary decoration arrangements for around 50 Eid jamaats.

 Marking the celebration, special diets will be served to the inmates of different hospitals, jails and Government Shishu Sadan.
