Tourists pour in amusement spots on Eid

RAJSHAHI, April 1, 2025 (BSS) – Rajshahi people are celebrating a joyful Eid festival amid pleasant weather.

Amusement spots especially on the banks of the river Padma are bustling with the presence of the people of all ages for two days.

Thousands of people, especially children, poured in and around the city's parks, historic places and other recreation centres to enjoy and celebrate the festival.
 
Central Park and Zoo, Zia Shishu Park, Varendra Research Museum, BGB Amusement Point, Vadra Park, Padma Garden and Borokuthi amusement point drew huge crowds.
 
The Central Park and Zoo, the largest amusement spot in Rajshahi metropolis, has got a new look after massive development and beautification works over the years and collection of more beasts and animals for the zoo.

Construction of a colourful boundary wall, widening of the walkway and sitting arrangement, concretization of embankment of the lake and renovation of the picnic corners were completed.
 
Two 29-meter long and three-meter wide curve bridges were constructed at a cost of Taka 1.36 crore, making the park more attractive.
 
Apart from this, every section of the park-cum-zoo was rearranged to draw the attention of more visitors.

Padma River bank adjacent to the Saheb Bazar area of the city has also turned into an attractive tourist and recreational spot.

Talking to BSS visitor Rafiqul Islam said he is enjoying the overall situation of the park as there is no panic and anxiety.
