NATORE, April 6, 2025 (BSS)- The National and International Sports Day-2025 
observed here today with the theme "Youth Participation, Improving the 
Quality of Sports".

Marking the day, the District Administration and the District Sports Office 
jointly brought out a colourful rally from Collectorate Bhaban Square at 10am 
and ended at the same venue after parading different city streets.

After the rally, a discussion was held at the seminar room of the District 
Administrative Office at 11am with Deputy Commissioner Asma Shahin in the 
chair. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Abul Hayat, District Sports 
Officer Rakibul Hasan Esami addressed the discussion, among others. 

In the event, a good number of athletes and sports organisers also attended.

The speakers stated that the current government has taken effective steps and 
initiatives to improve the quality of country's sports by creating youth-
oriented sports arenas. 

Qualified players are being selected and trained in those sports arenas, and 
competitions at various levels are being organized, they underscored.
