ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, April 7, 2025 (BSS) - In response to a global call for a strike on April 7, 2025, students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have participated in the movement in solidarity with the people of Gaza. 

Marking the movement, over two hundred students of the university brought out a protest march from university's main entrance this morning.

After parading Shekhpara Bazar, adjacent to the campus, the protesters returned to the starting point, where the demonstration concluded.

Earlier, in response to the brutal attacks by Israeli forces in Gaza, the Islamic University authorities have announced a one-hour complete shutdown on April 9, from 12pm to 1pm.

The university has called on all teachers, students, officials and staffs to join the protest and stand in solidarity with Gaza people.
