CHITTAGONG, April 7, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Army arrested top four terrorist and drug dealers with weapons from Boalkhali upazila of the district Sunday night. 

The arrestees are- Babul Mia, 50, son of Hasu Mia of Charandip area, Monjurul Alam, 37, son of late Afzal Ahmed, Mumin Hossen, 24, son of Anu Mia and Gas Babul, 50, son of Md. Muzahid. 

They were arrested during a special drive of Bangladesh Army at Mosjidghat area under the Charandip union of Boalkhali upazila. 

The seized weapons include- two local gun, three ammunitions, fifty seven local weapons, nine mobile phones, 750g hemp, two litters’ local wine, 4,700 Dirham foreign currency and Taka 52,670.

Camp Commander Major Rasel said the arrestees were resorting to reign of terror in Charandip union for a long time. 

Based on the credible information they were arrested, he said.

The arrestees and the seized goods were handed over to Boalkhali police for legal proceedings, he added.
