RANGPUR, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - Madhu Mia, 32, an alleged notorious dacoit accused in a sensational robbery case under Chilmari Model Police Station in Kurigram, has been arrested from Gaibandha district.
 
The Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-3 of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in Gaibandha Camp arrested Madhu, hailing from Bhasarpara under Fulchhari Police Station, at 7:20pm on Friday, a press release said today.
 
Earlier, a gruesome robbery incident took place in the river Brahmaputra, near the Korai Barisal River Ghat under Chilmari Model Police Station of Kurigram district on February 9, 2025.

A robbery case was filed on the day of the incident.

Following his arrest, RAB handed over the detainee to the concerned police station for further legal action.
