RANGPUR, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the accused abductor and rescued the kidnapped teenage girl of Haragachh police station area in Rangpur from Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
"The arrested abductor is Md. Kawsar Mahmud Shishir, 21, He is the son of Md. Sahajul Mia of village Banupara under Haragachh Metropolitan police station of Rangpur metropolis," said a press release issued here today.

 Previously, the detainee with his accomplices forcibly kidnapped the victim girl of the same area from the Notun Bazar Chairmanpara area under Haragachh Metropolitan police station after finding her alone around 5:30 pm on April 8th.
In this incident, the victim's father filed a kidnapping case with the Haragachh Metropolitan police station of the Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

 Later, an operational team of RAB-13 from its Rangpur battalion headquarters in a raid arrested accused Kawsar Mahmud from the Sonapukur (Purbo Baniapara) area under Parbatipur police station of Dinajpur district at 5.50 pm on Tuesday.

 The elite force handed over the arrested accused along with the victim to Haragachh Metropolitan police station, the release added.
