DHAKA, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - A rickshaw puller was killed after being hit by a private car in the city's Fakirapul.
 
The deceased was identified as Matin Mia, 35, son of Mozaffar Ali of Masterpara village in Rangpur district.
 
Eyewitness Mohammad Mehdi Hasan said, "A speedy car hit Matin while he was driving his rickshaw in the Fakirapul area this morning, leaving him critically injured."
 
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared him dead around 11:30 am.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, said, "The body has been kept in the mortuary for an autopsy."
