MANIKGANJ, Nov 28, 2021 (BSS) - A community clinic named 'D Shakrail

Community Clinic' was inaugurated at Shimulia union under Shibalaya upazila
here.

   ANM Naimur Rahman Durjoy, lawmaker of Manikganj-1 constituency,
inaugurated the healthcare facility centre yesterday.

  Presided over by Shibalaya Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr
Asif Iqbal, the inaugural function was attended among others by Shibalaya
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jesmin Sultana, Upazila Awami League General
Secretary Abdul Kuddus, Upazila Vice-Chairman Miraj Hossain Lalon Fakir,
Woman Vice-Chairman Runa Akter and Shimulia Union Awami League President
Jahir Uddin Manik.  

  Durjoy, in his speech, said under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina the present government is working to provide all the civic
facilities to rural people.  

 He said Sheikh Hasina started providing maternal health services at the
doorsteps to the rural people by establishing the Community Clinic in 1998
under the 'Health and Population Programme'.  

  Durjoy urged the people to elect the candidates who are contesting with the
symbol of boat in the UP election to strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina.

   Earlier, the lawmaker inaugurated the 1950 meter long 'Bachamara-
Bahadurpur-Dhulshura River Erosion Protection Works' involving Tk 21 crore.  
He also inaugurated the newly constructed Academic Building of Bejpara High
School.
