TK 62,900 fined for health rule violations in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, July 4, 2021(BSS) – District administration yesterday conducted 18 mobile courts, realizing fine Taka 62,900, filing 90 cases for flouting health related guidelines during strict lockdown announced by the government to halt the spread of Covid-19 across the country.

The courts led by executive magistrates during their drives also distributed quality masks to the people, said SM Foyez Uddin, executive magistrate of the district administration.

The drives were also operated in the district on Thursday and Friday to ensure strict lockdown.

The law enforcement agencies like Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion and the district police assisted the courts during the drives.

Deputy Commissioner (DC), also district magistrate, Abdul Matin urged the people to abide by the rules of the restrictions to protect themselves from covid-19.

The DC also requested not to go outside of homes unnecessarily during the lockdown.

The drives would continue at the interest of the people, he added.
