GAIBANDHA, July 6, 2021 (BSS) – District administration has realized Taka 89,900 as fine conducting 17 mobile courts in all seven upazilas of the district to enforce ongoing countrywide lockdown announced to halt the spread of Covid-19.
The courts led by executive magistrates in their drives yesterday filed 103 cases against the persons and the shop keepers for breaching the safety rules of Covid-19 and realized the fine, sources said.
The executive magistrates of the courts also distributed quality masks to the people during the drives, said SM Foyez Uddin, executive magistrate of the district administration.
The law enforcement agencies like Bangladesh Army, Border guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion and the district police assisted the courts during the drives.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) and also district magistrate Abdul Matin urged the people to abide by the rules of the restrictions to protect themselves from covid-19.
The DC also requested the people not to go outside unnecessarily during the lockdown.
The drives would continue at the interest of the people, he added.
