RANGPUR, Dec 23, 2021 (BSS) - Some 74,052 more citizens were inoculated with the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division.

     Health officials said the 74,052 new second dose recipients include 11,771 citizens inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 61,661 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs and 620 others with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs.

     "With the inoculation of 74,052 new citizens with the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the second dose recipients rose to 51,87,169 in the division," said Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam this evening.

     Among the total 51,87,169 second dose recipients, 10,75,604 people were vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 39,68,262 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,25,779 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs and 17,524 others with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs.

     Meanwhile, 17,825 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine today raising the total number of the first dose jab recipients to 78,57,314 in Rangpur division.

     Among the 17,825 new first dose recipients, 16,524 were inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 85 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs and 1,216 others with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs today in the division.

     "The total 78,57,314 first dose recipients include 23,62,672 people vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 51,83,427 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,31,849 with Moderna Covid-19 vaccine and 1,79,366 with Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine," Dr. Islam added.
