RANGPUR, Jan 13, 2022 (BSS) - Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) distributed blankets among newly admitted orphan, poor and distressed students of two orphanages and hefz khanas here today.

  Founder and Chief Adviser of 'Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur', a voluntary organization, and RpMP Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud distributed the blankets at two separate functions held at the institutions as the chief guest.

  On the occasions, he distributed the blankets among all newly admitted students of Darshana Manobotar Bondhone Orphanage and Hefz Khana and Modamudan Manobotar Bondhone Orphanage and Hefz Khana in the metropolis.

  Deputy Commissioner of Police (City Special Branch) of RpMP Abu Bakar Siddique, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Admin) Md. Mohidul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Md. Aynul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Haragachh and Tazhat police stations and other police officials were present.

  Addressing the occasion, the RpMP Chief, called upon affluent people, sociocultural, professional, voluntary and trade organizations and financial institutions to stand beside cold-hit people with warm clothes to lessen their miseries.
