JAMALPUR, Jan 20, 2022 (BSS) - As many as 30 students of Jamalpur Nursing Institute have tested positive for Covid-19 in the district.

  According to Civil Surgeon office sources, a number of students of the institute had undergone the RT-PCR test of which 30 tested positive.

  Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning officer Dr Uttam Kumar Sarkar said the affected students have been kept on isolation and classes of the institute were shutdown.

  There are 253 female students at Jamalpur Nursing Institute.

  Civil Surgeon Dr Pronoy Kanti Das said a total of 39 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the district. Among them, 30 students are of the nursing institute.
