KHULNA, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested three alleged armed criminals of the outlawed "B Company" group along with two foreign-made pistols, magazines, ammunition and cash during a special drive in Labanchara area in the city on Sunday.
According to a RAB-6 press release, a special operational team of the elite force conducted the raid at Raypara under Labanchara Police Station around 12.30 pm today based on confidential information.
The arrested were identified as Md. Ilias Sardar, 42, of Indurkani in Pirojpur district, Md. Sujon, 38, of Gopalganj Sadar, and Md. Nanna Bepari, 57, of Betagi in Barguna district.
During the operation, RAB members searched the residence of Nanna Bepari and recovered two foreign-made pistols, seven rounds of live ammunition, magazines and Tk 1,53,300 allegedly from the possession of the accused.
The seized items were confiscated in the presence of witnesses following legal procedures.
RAB press release said a review of the suspects' criminal records revealed that they have multiple cases filed against them in Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) as well as in Pirojpur and Barguna districts on charges of attempted murder, narcotics offences and theft.
Legal proceedings under the Arms Act are underway. After filing the case, the arrested persons along with the seized firearms and other evidence will be handed over to Labanchara Police Station under KMP for further legal action, the release added.
