JAMALPUR, Sept 12, 2026 (BSS) - As part of the nationwide three-month-long cleanliness drive to prevent dengue, a cleanliness campaign began in Jamalpur today.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman formally inaugurated the nationwide drive through a virtual conference this morning. Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Yusuf Ali joined the virtual inauguration from the conference room of his office. 

Government officials, teachers, students, Scouts, BNCC members and cleaning workers also participated in the programme.

After the inauguration, the deputy commissioner called upon all concerned to keep their respective areas clean to prevent dengue and protect the environment.

Later, he led a cleanliness drive on the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's Office.
