CHATTOGRAM, Feb 6, 2022 (BSS)-Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 arrested five alleged terrorists with 11 fire arms and 22 bullets in a drive from remote hilly Jungal Salimpur area in the city last night.

The arrested terrorists were identified as  Rafiqul Islam Malu, 41, son of late Shamsul Hoq, Sirajul Islam,34, son of late Kafil Uddin, Mohammad Hoq, 35, son of late Abdul Mannan , Mizanur Rahman,34 son Ahamudur Rahman and Jamal Sheikh,47, son of Mozid Sheikh.

RAB-7 Commander SM Yousuf in a briefing said that based on information the elite force arrested five alleged terrorists with 11 fire arms and 22 bullets in a  drive  at the den of terrorists Moshiur from the said area during the raid at 11 pm last night.

 Several cases were pending against the detainees in different police stations in the city and district, he said.

According to RAB sources, the detainees have been extorting money from the people in the area for a long time. Mashiur and his son Shiblu have also formed a terrorist gang to carry out their criminal activities in the area.

They were handed over to Sitakunda Police Station  with case.
