GAIBANDHA, Feb 08, 2022 (BSS) - The Bangla Sign Language Day-2022 was
observed in the district as elsewhere in the country yesterday with a call to
ensure the rights to education, health services and human rights of the
physically challenged people.

   Marking the day, district administration and Department of Social Services
(DSS) including Zila Protibandhi Seba o Sahazzo Kendra (ZPS OSK) chalked out
different programmes.

   In the morning, a discussion was held at the conference room of the deputy
commissioner (DC) here with ADC-General Md. Sadequr Rahman in the chair.

   DC Md. Oliur Rahman attended the function as the chief guest and deputy
director of DSS Fazlul Haque and disable affairs officer of ZPOSK Akter
Hossaine spoke as special guests.

   Six hearing-impaired persons were given hearing inputs free of cost on the
occasion.
